I offer a strong foundation in data-driven policy analysis with over three years of experience in the international development field and training in international relations, economics, data and climate science.
I design and apply econometric models, conducting micro- and macro-level analysis, and managing large cross-country and sectoral datasets for policy analysis. By applying these advanced statistical, econometric methods and modeling tools, I bring the skills to analyze complex datasets, forecast trends, and design evidence-based interventions that support sustainable development. I have applied these in areas including economic policy, development finance (public and private sector financing), climate, water, agriculture, greenhouse gases, and the carbon economy.
My technical foundation stems from my undergraduate education, where I specialized in statistics, data analysis, climate-smart adaptation practices, and future modeling techniques. This background enables me to approach development challenges with robust quantitative skills and a deep understanding of socio-economics and environmental systems.
Prior to graduate school, I led proposal development and implemented development projects funded by USAID, IKI, and Asia-Pacific Network for Global Change Research, focusing on climate, energy, gender, and socio-economic development in Nepal. I oversaw program design, monitoring and evaluation, and donor reporting, gaining firsthand experience in proposal development, outcome measurement, and implementation in developing-country contexts. These experiences taught me how to deploy scarce resources efficiently, maintain accountability, and use evidence to drive impact.
Equally important, I have learned that development is not only about ideas and analysis but also about people and how we approach them. My work with communities, donors, and diverse institutions has taught me the value of humility, respect, and collaboration. Whether co-developing proposals, designing programs, or building local capacity, I have seen that lasting change comes when people feel ownership and dignity in the process.
